Greetings, woodland watchers!

We are coming up to the favorite season for many of us~the peak of Autumn & Halloween
(or Samhain as those that follow the old path call it)

What a glorious time of year!
This is a very inspirational time for me here in the Woodland! Nature's colors abound in the Northeast and really get my creativity flowing!

I have alot of stuff I want to share with you this month so let me start by turning you on to Brooklyn Brewery's Post Road Pumpkin Ale. This wonderful Witch's Brew is a revival of a beer brewed by the early colonists! This is so perfect for this time of year! I look for it to come out each Autumn, but, make sure you stock up as it is usually sold out by Thanksgiving. Read more about it at www.BrooklynBrewery.com

Our favorite mad scientist, Antisally, from www.GothRosary.com has been busy formulating a new hair conditioner to add to her remarkable line of products. She sent me samples to try and I have to tell you~ the stuff is wonderful! I normally can't use many conditioners as they tend to flatten my hair. This one was super light & clean, even when used every day! This new conditioner will be available in all of our favorite Goth Rosary scents! Thanks, Antisally!

I also have a wonderful new source for great things for my critters! MeeMee's Pampered Pets! My old boy Mick was never much for treats (what with his lack of teeth) but every treat we've gotten from MeeMee's he's gone nuts for! He's also gotten himself a cozy, warm, beautiful handknit sweater and my kitties are going wild over the Fish Flakes!

My sweet friend Aimee is the proprietor and you can visit this wonderful shop at www.MeeMees.com . She will also be at Pet-a-palooza which has been scheduled for (please note I spoke to Aimee and Pet-a-palooza has been postponed until the SPRING! I'll keep you posted as I learn more) Saturday, October 16th at Lewis Morris Park in Morristown, NJ. This will be a fun outing for folks and their 4 legged furry friends. It will be a totally animal friendly day with adoption info, vendors etc. And while we are enjoying Pet-a-palooza on the East coast, Black Veil Society Babe Pandora www.PandorasParlor.com will be involved with Pugtoberfest to be held on October 2, 2004 on the West Coast! You can find out more about this event on her site through the Pug Rescue link. Visit us at one of these events if you are nearby either one! It is so important to support these wonderful pet friendly events!

In fact, we all need to go into www.TheAnimalRescueSite.com once a day and click the "feed an animal in need" button. It costs us nothing and with every click sponsors provide food for shelter animals. So easy and so very important! Please bookmark the Pet Rescue Site and remember to click it daily! Let's make life easier on the shelter animals because if we could adopt them ALL we would!

One of my own favorite websites is www.GoreyDetails.net . They have great Edward Gorey stuff and wonderful rubber stamps etc, but my favorite just HAS to be the HAUNTED PORTRAITS! Have you seen these amazing things? I have "Little Mary" hanging in my living room & just love her and her creepy antique doll!

Marika stopped by recently with a gift of Japanese Nippon Kodo incense for me! I have been so enjoying the different scents. This particular fine quality incense is her absolute favorite. If you love burning incense, try these out! www.NipponKodo.com

And speaking of Marika, we are planning the photo shoot with Elph as soon as the Autumn leaves really start to turn. We'll keep you posted. Keep an eye on Miss Elphaba's page for upcoming events she will be appearing at. We have not yet decided on a location for the photo shoot but perhaps it will be where author Washington Irving is buried in Sleepy Hollow, NY. Maybe we will run into the headless horseman!

Sometimes the headless horseman will show up at the Nyack NY Halloween Parade which is held each year on the Saturday evening that falls just BEFORE Halloween. You can check with the Nyack Chamber of Commerce for details. We attend every year and then dine on the Hudson River at the River Club Restaurant. It is a great time. Our good friend Shirl will be having hip replacement surgery and we are hoping she can make the parade this year!! It wouldn't be the same without her! Blessings upon you through your surgery & recovery, Shirl!

Oh we have lots of new goodies on the way for you at TWC! There are baseball caps coming (a great little holiday gift) and new NON hooded sweatshirts with a brand new design on the front (of which I had a few made in XL for those that have been asking) There are also the Wonderful new Black Veil Society tanks with the Witch's Tea Party on the front and soon to arrive the Stop by for a Spell Pub Glasses for your Pumpkin Ale! Perfect! (All items have since arrived!! see the "Needful Things" category)

I will continue adding new items in all lines and categories on the website including witchwear, the new & extremely popular photo transfer dolls, mourning items etc, so keep checking and please keep us in mind for your Yule shopping needs, too!

Now is when the days are getting colder and we get to take out our Witch Boots! This is the perfect time for our awesome Tinker's Witch Crafts hooded sweatshirts. Nice and cozy and the perfect weight for apple picking, raking leaves, walks in the woods at this time of year when a coat is just a little too much!

How about a really cool place to visit this Samhain season? The Mutter Museum in Philadelphia, Pa is just such a place. This museum is located in the College of Physicians www.Collphyphil.org. The museum's collection includes over 900 fluid preserved anatomical and pathological specimens, 10000 medical instruments and apparati dating primarily between 1750 (yikes!) to the present! Oh so gruesome! A must see! Also see www.RoadSideAmerica.com

Don't forget the monthly recipe is now on the Black Veil Society page and there is also a Tea of the Month there which can be purchased from www.CulinaryTeas.com
